how hard to marry a SEAFARER?

Some says we are lucky we married a SEAMAN, other says we are more than fortunate with a dollar allotment every month, but beyond the luck and the fortune deals a lot with SACRIFICES.

For almost 8 years that may husband was working onboard a ULCC tanker vessel, it tooks a lot of courage for him to overcome his home sickness and I on the other hand have a lot of sleepless nights thinking of him, is he safe onboard? specially when they are at midst of the war in IRAQ before, loading crude oil while war is ongoing, the best weapon I can provide is my prayers. I always ask GOD to keep my husband safe and sound. He is the only man I want to grow old with…

Yesterday, he just left for work onboard KNOCK NEVIS former JAHRE VIKING maybe we are lucky enough that his contract reduces from 9 months to a 2 months onboard and 1 month vacation, that means in one year he will be home for at least 4 times, FAIR and SQUARE. When wallem offered that contract to him I secretely whisper "Thank you GOD", it is true indeed that PATIENT IS A VIRTUE AND IT HAS REWARDS.

If somebody ask’s me if I ever regret choosing a SEAFARER husband? I will proudly answer "NO" not because of the dollar he earned, but for who he is when I married him, and besides when we get married I also says "I do" with the uniform he wear simply indicates that I also marries the WORK he is with.

LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP is not that long when you have STRONG FAITH with each other and the LOVE that you had for each other is UNCONDITIONAL and beyond the physical appearance. For at the end of the day the most important thing is that you LOVE him not for what he can provide and give you but for how he TREASURE YOU as a person.

I can proudly say that even my husband is not always around, he makes a QUALITY TIME with me and our son when he is on vacation, he can do all the household chores and a very FANTASTIC COOK, a real FAMILY MAN, A RARE SPECIE, walang ere sa katawan AND most of all romantic. ooppps before I forget a ONE WOMAN MAN…oh no! mahirap na makahanap ng ganyan ngayon.Maybe that are some of the reasons I go out of shape from a whistle bait hip of 24 to ___ secret!!!. It is the way he made me feel Iam his only queen and he is the only knight I always dreamed off.

Marriage is best enjoyed when you both stand and keep with your SACRED VOWS no matter how hard the circumstances are, no matter how nautical miles separated you, at the end of the day together you will navigate to the UNCHARTED MARRIED LIFE with LOVE, FAITHFULLNESS, AND TRUST and in your GOLDEN YEARS you can shout to the world "lucky to married a seaman".
